2019 Audi Q8. The concept of the Audi Q8 was introduced at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show, leaving a great impression. We are not sure how much the production model will be like that concept, but we will know more in the coming months. Experimental mules for the main SUV coming from Audi have been monitored for winter tests. Heavy camouflaged vehicles, but it is good to know that the business on the production model of the new Q8 is underway.
2019 Audi Q8 will be in Bratislava, Slovakia where Audi has a factory. They will be produced along with the next-generation Cayenne and upcoming Touareg. The final product probably will not be available before the end of the year. If you take a look at the way the concept develops, it is possible that the intended model for the sale gets introduced in 2019 Nias. This scenario is quite reasonable so you can expect sales to start scheduled in the first months of 2019.
The design of the 2019 Audi Q8 concept was less than amazing. The interesting part comes though. The production model seems to be pretty much on par with the concept that is not the usual practice, especially for Audi. In front of the car sees that boast the same wide, but narrow, grille found on the Q8 concept. Headlamps seem to be more aggressive with a slimmer look and less sweep than before. The bumper features a defect separator as well as larger side openings.
The overall size of 2019 Audi Q8 appears to be similar to Q7. However, it is significantly less and wider, and features much more windshield angled. The overall shape is not the X6 which is actually great. Instead of going to the “sedan on the pillars” look, Audi went for something that actually looked like Porsche. The end of the slope and the roof has a clear arc to it. Although it does look unusual but looks more sporty than the Q7.
Even although the concept of the 2019 Audi Q8 appeared something very interesting here, we expect the production version to borrow significantly from the Q7 and A8 access. The same dashboard is minimal, the material is large and the large driving position is all to be used on the Q8. However, the car is expected to come with sports seats, only four or five seats depending on configuration and Audi’s latest self-driving technology. All these must make for a truly impressive ride.
The tradition of the manufacturer, ie Audi, gives us the right to say that the engine choice for the 2019 Audi Q8 will be a very powerful and reliable one. There is no accurate data on this, but it is believed that the manufacturer may use a 3.0 liter engine under the hood of this SUV. There are some additional requirements that would be both a V6 and an intrusive engine. The engine will be able to produce 333 horsepower and use 368 lb-ft of torque.
There is some information that might even be a hybrid version that would work on a Li-ion battery of 17.9 kWh. Thus, the manufacturer paired this engine option with an automatic transmission that would be eight-speed. However, there are some claims that the manufacturer may even provide a diesel version of the 2019 Audi Q8 SUV. Adaptive air suspension will be added as well as a four-wheel drive system.
The car is set to compete with the vehicles listed earlier. Moreover, it will fly the crossover banner, so you will have to be as good as it gets. The car is still using the same platform as EVO MLB as the ongoing Q7. The concept appeared slightly shorter version although this seems to be the case with the production model as well. Expect to be 0.3 to 0.5 lower, but will certainly be larger. The car will be a little shorter than its sister as well as the general design would be a much more aggressive car. The price is more than likely to be around $5,000 to $10,000 higher than that of Q7. We expect the 2019 Audi Q8 to start right about $60,000 in the United States.
