2019 Hyundai Veloster N. With the hot environment – Hatch ever getting hot – thanks to recent entries such as the Ford Focus and the new Civic Type R-Hyundai Veloster N gives Hyundai the first real opportunity to join the party in the United States. It will also be important to establish the brand’s new sub-brand credibility, which if successful will allow Hyundai to sell cars more than just value. In 2011, Hyundai Veloster replaced Tiburon (commonly known as Coupe in other markets) in the United States. Mainly in the hybrid between the hatchback and coupe, the Veloster is available in a three-door configuration only and uses small displacement four-cylinder engines exclusively. Offered at the base of the Turbo trim, Veloster gained the N version with the second generation of redesigned. The high-performance alternative developed by the new Hyundai N will be the first Hyundai-powered car to cross the pool to the United States.
Based on the latest Veloster, N displays all new features introduced to the latest generation. As with all Hyundai’s recently modified, the more angular sport angular, more aggressive front and rear design. The front end features a huge grille surrounded by sharp overhead lights and three air vents below. The profile maintains asymmetric configuration, three doors and it’s still very similar to the outgoing model, but the new wheels and revised side skirts and glass make them look new. The rear is more aggressive thanks to its large angular headlights with three parts LED lights and a tall bumper with fake openings.
No sense to say, the Turbo Velocity is already a slightly aggressive hatchback, but the N version takes things a notch. The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N front gets a black polished mesh with the “N” logo and a black wing at the bottom. The side wings that run from the grille to the red bumper corners are finished with a contrasting touch. The splitter is more pronounced, while the larger slots are enhanced by cooling brakes. Side skirts are also more aggressive, and are characterized by small swirls to the back stripes and red color. The 18-inch wheels feature an exclusive design, but you can choose the 19-inch wheels available with the dual-design, double-spoke brass design. The rear background is absolutely spectacular.
The roof spoiler is much larger than the standard model and seems to have borrowed from the World Rally Championship. The diffuser is equally aggressive, featuring four large fins and large exhaust pipes, high flow on each side. The fact that the bumper is finished in black and that the diffuser is highlighted by a red bar at the top of the gains looks more inspired by motor sports. Step wise, the 2019 Hyundai Veloster N is by far the most aggressive hot-hatchback appearance there. The Honda Civic Type-R comes with angular design characteristics, but everything else, including the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Ford Focus Six, looks very light. Unlike the Veloster standard, which is available in seven exterior colors, Only finishes.
Include Ultra Black Plate, White Chalk, Red Race, and Blue Performance. The latter is exclusive to this model. The hatchback interior is also brand new. Although not as original as the first generation car, which had a unique V-shaped pile center and instrument panel, the new Veloster gets credit for a modern look. The dash seems a bit cluttered because of the narrow center stack and wide Hafak openings, but everything else seems spot on. The new entertainment information system with a 7-inch screen features the standard Android car and Apple Car Play, and the list of options includes SiriusM radio and the next generation blue-powered lattice connectivity.
The optional 8-inch screen includes all of the above, plus high-definition radio, intelligent integration, and an excellent Infiniti sound system. A head display system is also available. Finally, Hyundai used new materials, softer all over the cabin and introduced new upholstery colors. Now, if you’ve already seen the standard Veloster, you’ve basically seen the N model as well. Of course, there are a few exclusive details to run before, but nothing too radical. The first thing that holds the eye is the seat design. Although wrapped in cloth instead of leather and alcantara, the N seats are the most sporty and feature enhanced solid. The steering wheel and shift knob for this model, which now incorporates a sporty design, has also been modified. Door sill panels have “N” logos, just in case you have forgotten that your car is not a regular Veloster.
Transmission: In the footsteps of the i30 N, the 2019 Hyundai Veloster N is all but sure to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter turbocharged four. The output should be about 250 horsepower, and be directed to the front wheels. If the Hyundai i30 N takes the 24-hour Nürburgring as anything you go, the Hyundai Veloster N comes with a six-speed manual transmission, but the Hyundai Veloster N is likely to come automatically.
Expected price and price: The i30 N is expected to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, and we believe that Hyundai will not take covers from Hyundai Veloster N until the car season in 2018, with a model going on sale before the end of the year.
