2021 Hellcat. At the moment, we have no clear indication of which platform will support the new Challenger. In September last year, it was reported that Dodge could move the car to Maserati’s architecture, which will be presented with a new Jeep sedan. Previous rumors have indicated that the shipper and shipper in the future could use the Alfa Romeo Giorgio structure. However, about two months ago, Motor said the duo would continue in the Chrysler LX, now over 10 years old.
“The problem with Giorgio is one of size and capability because it reflects much more European performance requirements than the US Dodge assets,” explained Marchionne in June of this year.
Of course, if this is the final decision of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the platform will be greatly modified to help Dodge meet the most stringent safety and emission standards in the next decade. In fact, it is already working on the modified structure and “certainly, by the time we finish that structure, we will not recognize its origin.”
Challenger remains a strong seller for Dodge and the automaker is happy to keep the current generation models alive for a few more years. But, time will always come for a new Challenger, which is believed to arrive sometime in 2021 along with the next generation of the shipper.
Our exclusive representation shows a possible aspect of the new model and our artists have taken the path of evolution. We do not expect drastic changes in the overall appearance of the car, as well as slightly more muscular wheel bows and wider rear cover. In the foreground, the family design is likely to be maintained by four round headlights, with a sharp front grille and larger air entrances on the bumper.
